Today’s alert bulletin.
We are now just over a day away from the New Moon which this month occurs on August 30th at 19:59 GMT, or 14:59 EDT. As a result moods and
emotions will be tense and nervy with heightened awareness and perception that some may find disturbing.
This month the New Moon is rendered all the more powerful by numerous planetary alignments in which the highly unsettling effects of Uranus are
very strongly indicated.
Other than the impending New Moon the most prominent feature of this current alert period is the alignment between the Sun and Saturn, both of
whom are in opposition to Uranus. Likely mood traits to result from this include reserved, disciplined and limited emotional expression, with a tendency to hesitant, shy, or unsure feelings with low self
confidence and pessimism. In addition to this there may be a worrying and apprehensive attitude that may see problems rather than solutions, so that any difficulties will tend to be unduly magnified.
Under these circumstances some may experience bouts of depression or insecurity with a lack of resolve and diffidence that could put off making
important decisions and choices. Some may also suffer from melancholia or a defeatist attitude that may be hard to avoid. The influence of Uranus in this alignment means there will be emotions that deviate
strongly from the norm with rebellious or unstable moods along with a tendency towards drastic or dramatic solutions to even the most trivial of problems.
While it is certainly true that the effects of Saturn may mitigate against the extremes possible from Uranus this still remains a mood situation
prone to highly volatile moods and feelings with the potential for intense and unsettling emotions.
The general sensitivity of emotions will be heightened even further by the opposition between the Moon and Neptune. As well as extremely
sensitive feelings this is likely to create a confused or chaotic disposition in which it may not be easy to make up ones mind with a bewildering array of thoughts and sensations that could prove annoying and
exhausting.
The coming few days should see escapist tendencies well to the fore and it will be far from easy to concentrate on the task in hand. This means
that ones daily routine may be subject to considerable disruption with distracting influences that may be hard to ignore.
Mercury and Venus still remain in alignment and the pair are also in opposition to Uranus. So far as moods are concerned this will lend a degree
of affection and understanding to the overall atmosphere with energetically inclined activity that despite difficulties with concentration should prove a boost to on going schemes and ventures particularly where
these concern activities of an artistic or creative nature. On the other hand the effects of Uranus will once again heighten proclivities towards bizarre, eccentric and even perverse modes of behaviour with out
of character thoughts and deeds that may store up consequences for a long time to come.
In summary this is an extremely tense and nervous atmosphere that some will find difficult to deal with. Not only is it filled with dynamic
zestful energy but there is also a substantial degree of doubt and insecurity together with a bewildering mix of confusion that will leave many feeling that they simply can’t think straight. However like all
mood atmospheres this one will soon dissipate, though the next few days should see particularly heightened and even extreme mood conditions.

Moon/Uranus killer gets life.
What turns a normally placid and likeable young man from a professional background into a frenzied and brutal murderer who hacks to death his
guardian in an unprovoked attack of astonishing ferocity?
This question may well continue to confound and perplex the minds of police and psychologists alike, but when we heard of this attack which
occurred in London on the 14th of August last year we were sure this would lead to a Moon/Uranus alignment. And sure enough it did! The Moon and Uranus were indeed in opposition on that day and as frequent
visitors will be aware we often highlight this routine but often eventful alignment as one to be viewed with the utmost caution.
Its likely traits range from extreme. bizarre and out of character behaviour so that even the most brutal of acts appear quite normal. Even more
alarming is that these incidents frequently involve previously law abiding members of the public who under the strain of this alignment suddenly snap with quite brutal consequences. For more on this story and

Interestingly enough the Mood Alert for that day contained this warning: ‘All in all this is a difficult and highly challenging emotional
atmosphere and some will feel at the edge of what they feel they can stand.’ Clearly for some this was a perfect recipe for murder of the most chilling brutality.
Turbulent period ahead
As mentioned in previous alerts we are now heading into one of the years most concentrated periods of planetary alignments. This is already well
underway and this current phase of heightened activity will persist until around the end of August. Current feedback suggests that many are finding this year to be especially difficult and this tallies with our
initial predictions that this would be the case. The truth is that this year has some extremely potent alignments, some of which have come and gone and others which are still ahead of us. Naturally there will be
challenges but every challenge is only one more call to surmount and surpass difficulties that will eventually make us all the stronger.
Mars/Saturn link to spate of British knifings
Over the last month or so reports of stabbings and knife crime have filled the British press and media. This was never more acutely demonstrated
than on Thursday of last week when no fewer than 6 people were reported knifed to death in separate incidents in less than 24 hours. Frequent visitors to this site will remember that this was, and still is a
period that we warned was likely to see violent, cruel, and unscrupulous behaviour.
Here the link to the planets is clear. Thursday saw the height of the Mars/Saturn alignment in their closest approach for the next 14 years. It
illustrates, that despite the cynical doubts of some, that celestial patterns do exert an immense amount of influence on behaviour and events here on Earth.

British Knifings.
Harry Horse killing linked to Uranus alignment.
Frequent visitors to this site will know that we have often warned of the brutal and sometimes uncontrolled effects of Moon/Uranus alignments
and below is another tragic case that is a forceful illustration of just what is possible at these times.
Details only just released in the British press say that the renowned children's writer and illustrationist who went under the name of Harry
Horse murdered his wife before turning the knife on himself in a frenzied and desperate killing. The murder is believed to have taken place on the night of the 9th of January 2007. Previously it was explained as
a double suicide but Police now believe that Harry Horse first knifed his wife to death before committing suicide.
The relevance of the 9th of January is that it coincided with an opposition between the Moon and Uranus which is capable of dramatic and highly
drastic solutions with a high degree of hysteria and loss of control. Indeed on the night of the killing witnesses testify that the author was in a demented state and shouting “It’s a wonderful night for
a killing.”

Unprecedented number of large earthquakes.
In the early hours (GMT) of the 5th of
July there were a spate of major earthquakes of a magnitude that is unprecedented since Mood Alert has been running. During the space of little more than 2 minutes there were no fewer than 4 quakes above 7 in magnitude. Here it should be stressed that these were separate earthquakes occurring some hundreds of miles apart. Below are the details:

The relevance of these quakes is that they occur at the seismologically vulnerable period that immediately follows every New or Full Moon.
Indeed as we have said numerous times before this represents a particularly hazard prone time which this month was made all the more precarious by the added stress of numerous powerful planetary alignments.
Although strong earthquakes are often associated with the Full Moon it is a matter of record that at least eight of the ten largest earthquakes
over the last century have a definite New Moon connection.
Frenzied London stabbings.
The extreme nature of this period surrounding the New Moon was never more forcefully illustrated than the brutal London murder of two French
students in their apartment flat in a southern suburb of the English capital. Hardened London crime scene detectives admitted that this was an especially brutal and frenzied killing the like of which they had
never before encountered. One of the students was stabbed up to 100 times before an accelerant was poured across the bodies and the flat set alight.
Only the other week we highlighted this current New Moon period as one capable of the most extremes of circumstance. This became especially
likely by the added influence of the Mars/Saturn alignment, which can inspire violent, cruel and unscrupulous behaviour patterns.

Frenzied London Killings
4th of July - The astronomical significance.
The astronomical significance of July 4th is that it coincides with Solar Aphelion, which is the time in the Earth’s yearly orbit when our
planet is farthest from the Sun. The Sun actually looks smaller by 1.7% and actually radiates 3.5 % less heat when compared to the yearly average.

Cycle 24 is underway
The latest Sun spot cycle is now underway. The Sun’s activity is never quite constant and for reasons not fully understood corresponds to a
cycle that takes 11 years to complete. We are currently exiting a period of low Solar activity and
beginning the slow journey to the peak of Cycle 24 that will occur sometime between 2010 and 2012. For more on this please go to the following link: Cycle 24 begins.
The effects of Pluto
It should be mentioned that since early November Jupiter has been in close alignment with Pluto. We have not devoted much space to this
alignment because there is some debate as to what precisely, if any, the effects of Pluto really are?
There is also some debate as to what Pluto really is. Formerly it was regarded as a planet, but has now been reclassified as a minor planet,
number 134340. Unlike most of the other “planets” its discovery was quite late, and it was not until 1930 that its existence was finally confirmed, even though it had been largely predicted since 1840.
But does Pluto have any effect on moods and emotions? Here several things spring to mind. The first is that Pluto is quite remote from the
Earth. The second is that Pluto is quite tiny in size - less than a fifth the mass of the Moon. Taking these two factors together it is clear that whatever effects it does have, must be slight and very subtle.
The fact is we don’t really know.
As a newly discovered “planet.” there is less than a hundred years of experience to draw upon which is too little to form any firm conclusions.
However the fact that Pluto does influence things is beyond doubt as it was precisely its invisible effects on other planets in the Solar system that first lead to its discovery.
You also have to take into account that because of its remoteness, alignments of Pluto with some of the other planets only come around after
relatively long periods of time. For example the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment occurs only once in every 13 years, and there have been only about six since the time of its discovery. Hence any conclusions
based on its mood effects must be tempered by scepticism, and this is why we have made little if any reference to this alignment. Nevertheless some authorities feel qualified to bring out likely
prognostications, and with some reservation we include the likely effects of the current Jupiter/Pluto alignment which are shown below:

These include “the ability to make new beginnings from existing ‘worn out’ conditions.... with a tendency towards destructive, drastic, or
obsessional forms of compensation for personal inadequacies.”
